Ayurvedic Imbalance: Understanding Your Current State
Stress, fatigue, irritability, disturbed sleep, uncomfortable digestion, a feeling of heaviness, or racing thoughts...
In Ayurveda, an ancient Indian medicine, these signals can indicate an imbalance. Three "doshas," also known as Ayurvedic profiles, are recognized: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
What is an Ayurvedic imbalance?
In Ayurveda, balance is dynamic. It changes over time and can be influenced by numerous factors: stress, fatigue, change of seasons, irregular sleep, diet, mental load, or an overly intense daily rhythm.
When an imbalance occurs, certain signs may manifest physically, mentally, or emotionally. The goal of Ayurveda is then to observe these signals to gradually return to a more stable and harmonious state.
Why identify your Ayurvedic imbalance?
Identifying your Ayurvedic imbalance helps you better understand what your body and mind are expressing at any given moment.
This can help you choose more suitable rituals, adjust certain lifestyle habits, and better support your current needs: soothing, stimulating, warming, cooling, slowing down, or reintroducing movement.
Each imbalance requires a different response. This is why it's useful to know which energy seems to be dominating currently.
